Who what why

What?
The Language Sector is the professional publication for the language sector.
It is also a forum where language professionals can, as a 'community of interest', share news, information, knowledge and insights and take a look at what is going on in the various segments of the language sector.

For whom?
The Language Sector is intended for the language professional who wants to keep informed and up-to-date on what is happening in the language industry.
By language professionals, we mean translators, interpreters, language teachers, text workers, language technologists, creators of language products and language study aids, providers of language training and language internships and any others who are involved with language professionally and who earn their living from language-related work.

Vision
The Language Sector aims to contribute to the development of quality in the language industry. Everyone benefits from a well-developed language industry with a strong image — in the first place the language professionals themselves, but of course also, the economy and the wider community. For a strong economy, including foreign trade, and a vital, open and inclusive community, adequate literacy and multilingualism are important strengths, if not absolute necessities. It is language professionals who develop and create these strengths!
